Dr. Trina Fjerstad
PT, DPT
Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapist

Hi there! I grew up in southern Minnesota, completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota Duluth, and earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Minnesota.
I love working with athletes and active adults navigating both orthopedic and pelvic health concerns. My treatment approach combines hands-on manual therapy with individualized exercise programming to help patients not only get out of pain but also build confidence and return to the activities they love. Whether your goal is to get back to running, lifting, competing, keeping up with your kids, or simply feeling stronger in everyday life, I enjoy partnering with patients to create a plan that fits their lifestyle and goals.
One of my favorite parts of being a physical therapist is helping people realize that they don't have to stop doing the things they enjoy because of pain or injury. I believe movement should be empowering, and I strive to make rehab both challenging and enjoyable while providing support every step of the way.
Staying active is a big part of my own life as well! Outside of the clinic, you'll find me coaching high school volleyball, playing sand and indoor volleyball, and training for my first HYROX race! I love watching sports, hiking and walking with my dog, spending time outdoors, and traveling whenever I get the chance. I love connecting with patients over shared hobbies and helping them get back to doing what they love most.
